Great Leaders!

Great leaders leave a track record for the world to see for years to come. President Barak Obama is no different, but sometimes people need to be reminded. Short -sightedness and lack of participation has allowed people who care nothing for the homeless to be placed in leadership positions, making decision on behalf of children and adults who may not be able to help themselves. These facts are my attempt to participate and remind the world of how much President Obama loves the homeless in America. Please don’t forget it when its time to vote.

This is a brief rundown on funding for homeless and housing programs that were included in President Obama’s FY 2011 budget proposal.

McKinney-Vento Homelessness Assistance Grants (10% increase)
Housing and Services for Homeless Persons Demonstration (new)
Veterans Affairs Zero Homelessness Initiative (50% increase to homeless veteran programs)
TANF Emergency Contingency Fund (extension of Recovery Act funding)
